1. What is security ?
1.1 Mission of a transport airplane
The mission of an airplane in the Air Transportation is to transfer passengers and/or goods from one point to another of the Earth safely and comfortably, that is without any danger to them and without any discomfort for passengers.
1.2 Air transportation system
The Air Transportation System consists of all organizations/entities involved in air transportation, that is: Airliners, Airplane Manufactures, Airport Management Companies, Air Traffic Controllers Organizations, Certification Organizations, Aeronautical Information Organizations.
1.3 Security
Security is the technology devoted to avoid any danger to passengers, crew, goods and property from abnormal behaviour of people like for examples in the case of terrorism or hijacking. Air transportation Security is dependent on procedures, applied in the Airport and on the Aircraft.
